Race to Erase social injustice! Run with a purpose at this 5 k
run / 1 mile walk at Queeny Park on July 5. Registration begins at
8:00am , race starts at 9:00am. This is a great family event with
prize categories for children, women and men. $15 registration fee

Proceeds benefit World Servants, a non-profit mission organization and
their partnership with Good Shepherd Lutheran Church as together they
will travel to Kenya in July 2008 to build an orphanage for children
affected by AIDS.
Zion Lutheran Church and School hosts a Summer Concert on
Sunday, Aug. 3, beginning at 6:00p.m. in the sanctuary. The concert
features a variety of Christian contemporary music and sacred selections
performed by Zion's Summer Choir and other musicians and singers.
Refreshments are available after the concert. A freewill offering, after
covering concert expenses, will be donated to Zion's 150th Anniversary
Committee. The church celebrates its 150th year in 2009.

Cool Kids for Christ Activity

Lutheran South will host 8th Grade Visitation Day on Friday,
Sept. 26, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon for all 8th graders who may be
interested in applying to Lutheran South for high school. Students may
come from any school setting including Lutheran elementary schools,
other private schools, public school, or homeschool. To help us prepare,
